Bayside High School opened in 1998, and under the direction of Mrs. Lynnda Floyd and Dr. Tom Silliman, founded an orchestra program.

In 2001, The Bayside High School Orchestra went to State MPA for the first time.

In 2015, Bayside High School took two Orchestras to MPA for the first time. This is when Camerata was introduced as the premiere ensemble.

In 2019, our ensembles were renamed from Camerata and String Orchestra, to Bayside Philharmonia and Sinfonietta Orchestra.

In 2022, our Guitar program was inaugurated.

In 2025, both orchestras received STRAIGHT SUPERIOR ratings at District MPA for the first time.
